Since it’s back-to-school time, the first thing that comes to my mind is chalkboards. So today I’m talking about DIY Chalkboard Projects.
Chalkboards seem out of date in many classrooms, but they are still hugely popular, especially as chalkboard projects.
Most of these projects were done with good old Chalkboard Paint and a brush.
It’s inexpensive and makes a lot of projects.
Some were done with spray paint and one was a purchased chalkboard, cut to size.
First up is a School Primer Alphabet Chalkboard Sign on Salvaged Wood, just like an actual antique school primer page.
Years ago, I made this Repurposed Headboard Chalkboard as a welcome sign when my parents were coming for a visit.
While on a road trip with my husband, I bought two vintage camping stools and turned one of them into a Hanging Chalkboard Sign.
One of my favorites is the Chalkboard Wall that’s in my entryway. I did it years ago and still love it.
And then there was a Repurposed Chair Back Chalkboard.
Here’s a Garden Inspired Framed Chalkboard Sign that I made earlier this year.
One of my more recent chalkboards was this Pallet Frame Farmhouse Chalkboard.
Another golden oldie is this Repurposed Wood Folding Chair Standing Chalkboard that was one of my creations years ago.
Our farmers market doesn’t have any chickens, but it does have farm fresh produce, like this Farmers Market Chalkboard.
It seems like an eternity ago since I made this Repurposed Window Chalkboard.
This Menu Chalkboard on Salvaged Metal started out as a piece of a typewriter stand!
A super easy project is a Christmas Tree Cake Pan Upcycled Into a Chalkboard.
I don’t have a link for this Chalkboard Folding Table. It was a project I made and sold quite a few years ago.
It was a sturdy wooden table that only needed chalkboard paint and some fresh wood stain.
You don’t come across wood folding tables these days, but I wish I would.
That’s a wrap for this round of DIY chalkboard projects!
Which one was your favorite?
