Beverage Station and Gift Card Holder Printables

Beverage stations are very popular right now, and I’ve always received a lot of sweet comments about the coffee station we have set up on our antique cook stove in our kitchen, so I decided to create some printable signs that have a retro look – as if they came from a 1950’s diner.  Just print them, plop them in a frame, and hang them!  You could also decoupage them onto wood as well.

Antique High School Poster Ephemera

 A few weeks ago, one of my very sweet readers named Maggie, contacted me and said she wanted to send me a packet of antique ephemera.  They bought an old dresser with an attached mirror, and when they removed the mirror to transport it, they discovered this stash of ephemera used as a “cushion” between the mirror and the mirror back board.  One of the items found there was this really neat poster from 1915 announcing a high school and {Read More}

Lavender Seeds – A Packet Full of Hope

 Last summer, I bought several lavender plants, and they seem to be doing really well.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed I’ll see lots of new blooms this summer.  I really would like to grown a lot more, but buying so many plants is pretty expensive, so I ordered seeds, and I’m just waiting for it to warm up a bit more before I start the seeds.

DIY Dictionary Page State Shape Art

I discovered a new special shape font set “dingbats” last week, and this one could be used for so many fun projects.  This font set has the state shapes of all 50 states, as well as various country shapes.  It’s called DingMaps (download HERE), and it’s a free font.  These shapes could easily be used to create stencils, but I used one as a super easy way to make state shape wall art on old book pages. This project is {Read More}

Vintage Coffee Advertising Trade Card

Today, I have a wonderful image from an 1800’s advertising trade card for Lion Coffee.  It’s a collectible trade card that was included in the coffee packages.  I think this would be perfect printed as a sign to hang above a coffee station, or used as a label to add to a storage tin. Here’s the reversed image, which can be used for transfer projects, as well. Enjoy and be sure to let me know if you use this image on one {Read More}

So Simple Candle Holders

I think I need to make a K.I.S.S. sign (keep it simple stupid), and hang it where I can see it ever single day. I frequently bring things home from thrift stores and auctions, even if I have no idea what I’m going to do with them, and usually it doesn’t take long before an idea comes to me, but I’ve had  4 of these little vintage tins for over a year, and I don’t know how many times I’ve {Read More}

Antique Advertisement Image – Brown’s French Dressing

This antique advertisement printable for Brown’s Fresh Dressing, came from an early 1900’s magazine.  I think it would look wonderful added to a tin can or box, or used as an image transfer for a furniture project. {CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE AND SAVE}    Here’s the reverse image that can be used for transfers. Enjoy! You’ll find more free antique advertisement printables HERE.

Salvaged Wood Organization Station

I used to be super duper organized when it came to mundane tasks…like paying bills, meal planning, and Christmas and grocery shopping. Used.  To.  Be. ~ On Dec. 26th every year, I started my new Christmas shopping list, so whenever the kids mentioned something they wanted, I added it to the list, and scouted for bargains throughout the year.  When I purchased something on the list, I changed the typed item into bold print, so I knew I had purchased {Read More}
