Valentine DIY Projects: Farmhouse Friday

Valentines Day… do you decorate for it, or not?  I’m kind of lazy when it comes to Valentines Day, so the only time I make new Valentine projects is if I find something easy, and it fits in with the rest of my farmhouse decor.

Creative Reuse For Shopping Bag

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.  My son and I arrived in New Mexico, and while I’m spending this evening with family,  my blogging buddy Marie is here to share how she transformed an accent table with a shopping  bag, and it turned out amazing. Take it away, Marie!

Personal Update

I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for all the sweet comments that were left about my entryway remodel, and to give you a little personal update. If you recall, my parents came to visit back in October, and while here, my dad fell and broke his hip, and spent almost two weeks in the hospital before they could return home. Once home, he was doing pretty well, but then he came down with what the doctors {Read More}

Spice Rack Makeover: Thrift Shop Flip

I’ve said before that I’m a sucker for gingham, so when I spotted this vintage spice rack, filled with jars that had gingham lids, at a thrift store – it was a given that it was coming home with me.   I wasn’t crazy about the color of the wood, and it looked a bit blah, but the shape reminded me of the wall shelf I made over last year with a Milk & Cream Co. image on it, so {Read More}

Remodeled Entryway Reveal! {with Video}

Today’s my birthday, and what better way to celebrate than by showing you our remodeled entryway!       Can I get a Yahoo?! It took 4 months from start to finish, which isn’t excessively long as remodels go, but it felt like forever, which is always the case when you are remodeling any room. I’ve got lots of photos to share but I also put together a fun little video that shows the 4 month remodel process condensed into about 2 minutes.  It {Read More}

Crackled Paint Product Review: Valspar Crackle Glaze

Chippy and crackled paint finishes are very popular right now – especially when the finish comes from natural age and wear, but sometimes you’ve just gotta fake it, if you want to make something that looks old.   Since I was impressed with Valspar’s chalky paint (read my review here), I decided I would test and review Valspar Weathered Crackle Glaze and share my findings with you, along with some comparisons to other products that give a crackled paint finish. I was not paid {Read More}

Farmhouse Bathrooms and Projects

I’ve remodeled my fair share of farmhouse bathrooms over the years, some long before I ever started blogging, so I thought this would be a great theme for Farmhouse Friday this week. If you’ve ever thought about giving your bathroom a farmhouse makeover, you’ll find loads of ideas here for inspiration. Farmhouse Bathrooms Design and DIY Project Inspiration

The Song that Never Ends

  Remember the song that never ends? Well, the remodel in my entryway goes something like that. This is the remodel that never ends, yes, it goes on and on my friends. A couple   started doing it not knowing what they does (hey, I needed it to rhyme!) but they’ll continue remodeling forever just because, This is the remodel that never ends…. You get the idea right? So, when we last left off, all the pallet wood walls  had been installed and {Read More}
