How to Use Shape Fonts to Make a Skeleton Key Hook

I have so many collections around my house, but there’s one thing I collect that doesn’t cost any money, doesn’t take up any space in my house, and doesn’t need to be dusted, and that’s free fonts! I collect free fonts because it’s nice to have lots of different font styles to choose from when making a graphic, but also because I love dingbats! Dingbats are special shape fonts.  Each shape is created using the regular alphabet or numbers on your keyboard. {Read More}

Pallet Wood Floating Shelf

Last week when I made the Pallet Wood Coat Rack w/Storage, I had a lot of wood leftover from the same pallet, so before I moved the extra wood out to my workshop, I thought I’d come up with one more project using some of it first, and this DIY floating shelf was super easy!  I’m including the directions, so you can make one too.

Antique Clock Face Printable and Tin Can Craft

I’ve been tinkering around with some of my antique clock face images, and turned them into a collage that could be used for all kinds of projects.  I never tire of tin can craft projects, and I’ve been in need of more wall organizers, so I finished a new organizer, using one of the collages, and have the free printable to share with you!

Going Home …

I’ve heard it said that you can never go home again, but I beg to differ.  Let me explain… Those of you who have followed my blog for awhile, may recall that a little over a year ago, my cousin lost her home, and most of her belongings, when a tornado struck her town, and nearly wiped out her neighborhood.   This is the same town I grew up near, and went to high school in.  If you missed that post, the {Read More}

Antique Advertisement and Image Transfer Gift for Guys

This antique advertisement for Hartford Tires has such pretty typography and would be perfect as a framed print for a “man cave”, but I’ve also come up with a fun and useful image transfer project that would be a perfect gift!

Little Child’s Chair

A few weeks ago, when I went to Arkansas to bring my college son home for Christmas break, we stopped at an antique store along the way, and I found this little child’s chair sitting outside the shop.

The Lord’s Prayer Antique Hymn Page Printable

Of all the beautiful old hymns, my favorite ones are actual passages of Scripture that were set to music, like this, “The Lord’s Prayer” song.  Occasionally gospel songwriters, both past and present, include lyrics that just don’t line up with what the Bible teaches, but you can’t go wrong when you set actual Scripture to music.  It’s also one of the best ways to memorize Scripture, for people who are auditory learners, like myself. This page came from a beautiful antique {Read More}
