When my mom and I hung antique Bible pages on my living room walls a few years ago, I used a few illustrated pages on a small strip of wall between the hallway, and a closet. Antique Bird Prints

This set of beautiful bird prints both came from a 1920’s bird book, and show birds resting on evergreen branches. They are perfect for framed art, and would make lovely greeting cards as well. I’ve included two printables using one of the bird images, layered over 2 antique postcard images that I previously shared.. {CLICK ON IMAGES TO VIEW AND PRINT FULL SIZE} This bird is called a Coal Titmouse.

Repurposed Book into a Wall Hook

I was digging through my stash in my workshop, and came across a book about birds, with a pretty cover, patterned with bird feathers. I’m not even sure where I got it, but I remembered that I had a bird wall hook in my stash too, and they seemed to belong together.

Futon Frame turned Chalkboard Shelf

This chalkboard shelf was another one of those, “it almost ended up in a landfill” projects. My daughter had a metal futon bed, which she loved, but somehow, the bottom of the frame got bent, and the bent part was miserably uncomfortable on her back. Last week, I showed you the trashed dresser that I turned into an entertainment center. I didn’t use the top 2 drawers, because we needed their space for the DVD player and game system, but I wanted to find another use for them and repurposed drawers projects are some of my favorite projects, so I got busy with them.
