Happy weekend everyone! I have a new sign stencil to introduce in my line that I hope you’ll love. One of my most popular free images is the It is Well with My Soul photograph (download HERE), so I wanted to make an inspirational sign stencil with the same title. I used the stencil on this pallet wood coat hook, and love how it turned out, so I want to show you how super easy it is to make one of {Read More}
Milk and Cream Co. Sign on Stool and Chalkboard
It’s been more than 2 years ago since I made my first Milk and Cream Co. sign. Since I only had 1 antique window like that, I started making them on glass photo frames. And they sold, and they sold, and they sold, and to date I’ve made almost 50 more of them! Finally I realized that since other people love the design as much as I do, it was time to make make it available as a reusable stencil so anyone {Read More}
Farmhouse Friday #5 – Vintage Signs
If you are looking for a DIY project to work on this weekend, I think you’ll find one to love at week’s Farmhouse Friday, because the theme is DIY vintage signs! If you’ve ever looked at the prices of antique signs – they are usually outrageously expensive. While I’d love to own one, it isn’t in my budget, so I create my own vintage style signs instead, and we’re going to look at some signs created by some other fabulous bloggers as well. Let’s {Read More}
Seed Store Vintage Sign Stencil
The next vintage sign stencil in my new line is based on an early 1900’s seed store advertisement that has really charming lettering. I absolutely love this one, and could use it over and over (and did)! This stencil includes 2 sizes of the design. The larger size measures about 16″ x 4-1/2″ and the smaller size measures about 8-7/8″ x 2-1/2″. Both options are on 1 stencil, so you can select the size you need for your project. This stencil is available in {Read More}
Valspar Chalky Finish Paint Review – Painted Mason Jars & Sign
Have you heard the news that Lowes is now carrying new Valspar Chalky Finish Paint? This is great news for those who like premixed chalk style paint, but don’t live near any retailers of Annie Sloan or other chalk style paints. I heard it was coming out, and was looking forward to testing it. I’ve tried a lot of chalk-style paints, as well as made my own, so I wanted to see how it compares.
A Fresh New Batch of Farmhouse Signs
The problem with being a multi-tasker, is sometimes I have WAY too many projects going on at one time, and before I know it, they’ve overtaken my house. I’d be mortified if anyone dropped in unexpectedly right now, so I’m on a mission to get projects finished from all the pieces I’ve drug into my house – before the week is over. Anything that isn’t done before this week is up, is getting taken back out to my workshop. I hate to {Read More}
DIY Lavender sign
Ever since I started dreaming of the future lavender harvest I hope to have, thoughts of lavender keep creeping into my mind, so I had to do something lavenderish (spell check says that isn’t a word – it should be!) I’m going to think positive that I’ll have lots of lovely lavender soon, but in the meantime, I made a new lavender sign for my obsession. I grabbed an old board in my stash, and put a light coat of light {Read More}
Beverage Station and Gift Card Holder Printables
Beverage stations are very popular right now, and I’ve always received a lot of sweet comments about the coffee station we have set up on our antique cook stove in our kitchen, so I decided to create some printable signs that have a retro look – as if they came from a 1950’s diner. Just print them, plop them in a frame, and hang them! You could also decoupage them onto wood as well.
Answering Questions about the Silhouette Cameo and A New Canvas Wall Print
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about the Silhouette machine I use to cut stencils for signs and canvas wall prints, and I’ve always responded to the individually, but I’ve had several more readers contact me lately, and rather than continuing to respond individually, I figured it was time to write a post about it, because obviously, many of my readers have questions about it. One reader in particular sent me a list of questions, so I’ll address those first, {Read More}
Back to School Decor Roundup – Old School Style!
Today, I’m sharing a Back to School Inspired Roundup of some of my favorite projects, graphics, and decor. Based on the number of them, you may think I loved school and was a good student, but alas, I wasn’t. I spent most of my days behind the desk, staring out the window, waiting for the recess bell to ring. Nonetheless, I love school-inspired projects and think they make great home decor. I’ve included lots of free printables, fun projects, and {Read More}
