Welcome back to Knick of Time Tuesday I have got some fabulous features for you today! Before we get started, I thought I’d share a glimpse into the crazy busy, but totally fun time I had last week. Monday through Friday, I taught a “Junk Art” class for VBS. I was surprised how much my students absolutely loved it. Before the week was over, they already wanted to know if I’d be teaching it again next year. Future junkers – {Read More}
Repurposed Soda Bottle Flower Vases
I’ve had a stash of pretty soda bottles sitting on a shelf in my pantry, ever since we built my pantry. They looked cute sitting on the shelves, but really…who ever pays attention to what the shelves in my pantry have one them, other than food – except maybe me? I decided it was time to let some of them see the light of day, and turn them into something useful – like flower vases, because that gives me a {Read More}
New Book Page Canvas Art Design
It’s been a busy, fun and crowded, 2-1/2 weeks at my house, while my mom, nephew, and niece were here visiting, and I’m sad it’s come to a close. They are boarding the train to return home shortly, and my house will seem too quiet for the next few days. I’m already looking forward to September, when my mom and dad will return for another visit. I haven’t worked on many projects while my mom was here, but a customer {Read More}
Salvaged Metal and Wood Sign, Answered Questions about the Guest Room & the Nightmare on the Other Side
A few weeks ago, I shared some industrial style inspiration I found while vacation. One of the things I fell in love with, was this sign made of corrugated metal and a wood frame. I added it to my “must make” list of things to do when I got back home. I knew I had some corrugated metal (leftover from my guest room remodel), and my nephew gave me an antique wood frame, that he found in the abandoned house behind {Read More}
Guest Cottage Room Reveal {in an Old Farmhouse Shed}
It’s finally finished! We started this project in July of last year, and I was overly optimistic, and thought my new guest cottage room / photo studio would be done by the end of September. Ha! Well, at least it was completed before the end of September this year. It was worth the wait though, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. To give you an idea of the work that went into this room, you have to {Read More}
Antique Sewing Machine Table into Rustic Side Table
It’s no secret that I love antique sewing machine tables, especially when I can get a great deal on one. The best way to get one reasonably priced is to look for ones that are damaged. I’ve gotten three of them (so far). All of them had non-working sewing machines, 2 had missing or damaged drawers and one had a very damaged top. Today’s project involves the one with the damaged top. I showed it to you several years {Read More}
Tiered Stands with Repurposed Bowls and Tins
Are you all sick to death of seeing our tiered stands? I hope not, because my husband and I finished a few more of them for the shop, so I thought I’d show them to you. I’m always searching for great-looking vintage bowls and pans, and save them up until I can put together the right combination to make a stand. Occasionally, I get lucky and find a set of bowls and pans that match, which makes the project easier. {Read More}
Tin Can Wall Organizer
I’m so excited to be joining forces again, with the Junkers United team. If you’re a new visitor – WELCOME! I’m Angie, the author behind Knick of Time and owner of the Knick of Time online market. You can see all my Repurposed projects HERE and view the progress of our farm country home remodel HERE. For this event, I created a project that is easy, very useful, and you’re likely to have the few needed supplies already available in your home. I’ve been saving tin {Read More}
Ugly Plastic Pot Disguise…Spring Flowers in Salvaged Metal
Are there any other plant murderers out there? I hate to admit it, but I am one. Walking into a garden center, in the month of April, gets me every year. After long, dreary winter days, I am craving green plants and colorful blossoms. Despite the fact that I kill every plant I bring home, (except for the poinsettia I bought 2 Christmases ago…that thing refuses to die), I still buy new plants every spring. I’m an optimist, right? So {Read More}
